Diamond Way Buddhism Finland consists of 7 Buddhist centres and groups, which are a part of an international non-profit network of more than 650 meditation centres in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. These centres were founded and are directed by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje. They are currently under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje.

You are welcome to join us!

The main practice in our centres is the 16th Karmapa meditation. It is a guided meditation and no specific experience of meditation is required to practice with us. We have centres or groups in Helsinki, Hyvinkää, Lahti, OuluPori, Tampere, and Turku.

Yomi took refuge in Caracas in 2003 and came to Europe for the first time one year later. After traveling for almost a year with our lamas, she had the opportunity to live for a few years in the Buddhist Center in Madrid, which was a great experience of growing and working together with friends. She began to teach in North America in 2011 while living in Boston. Yomi and her partner Jeremiah now live in Munich to be close to the EC, where there is so much work to be done. Traveling for a few years with the lamas, especially with Lama Ole, has given Yomi great trust in her teacher, and out of this gratitude she is happy to share her experience in the centers.

Jeremiah took refuge with Lama Ole as a child in California during the 1990s. During university, he helped start the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Boston. He and his wife Yomi moved to Germany in 2010 with the wish to help connect the Diamond Way activity on both sides of the Atlantic. He was asked by Lama Ole to teach in 2015, and he especially enjoys teaching together with Yomi.
